Gracon is a family, privately owned construction company that has been in operation for 45+ years. It specializes in water and wastewater treatment facility commercial construction.

Gracon currently employs 100 +/- individuals having completed jobs from Austin to Lubbock, Oklahoma, as far east as Louisiana, and continually working throughout Texas. Fully bonded, Gracon performs as a general contractor primarily on water and wastewater treatment plants for cities and municipalities. Gracon's primary project delivery method has been design-bid-build.

It is our mission at Gracon to provide unsurpassed general contracting construction services and results within the water and wastewater treatment facility industry to public and additional end users within north Texas and expanded surrounding areas.

Gracon can credit its founding and much of its current direction and success to its founder, Jim Graves. Working to make a life for himself and his family, Jim worked in the construction industry for approximately 50+ years believing in hard work, himself/his vision, safety, and truth among other attributes to find success. His experience started in Minnesota at a general contracting company as a carpenter leading to increasing roles, and work opportunities moved him all over the country from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Wyoming, North Dakota, and eventually Texas around 1976. Jim was able to find his niche within water and wastewater treatment plants. His family slowly entered the workforce and joined him on site during these travels.

Through time and work ethic, he and a few others were able to attain success and establish their own, distinguished reputations, especially in Texas. Eventually, the opportunity to be his own boss was a reality. The work and business became his own, and Gracon Construction, Inc. was born. Gracon, sounds like gray-con, being a blend of Graves and construction.

His continued stability and success led to growth, and concurrently his family became more heavily involved in the business. Gracon continues operations today in Texas exclusively as the company is now owned and operated by Jim’s three sons: Joe, Ken, and Mike. They work and collaborate with its distinguished personnel continuing the same service, quality, and vision established and driven by Jim while instilling and pursuing their own passion and knowledge.
